Happy New Year! I'm posting from my phone using the blogger app so again there may be a few glitches while I figure things out. But I'm hoping that if I can post from my phone I might be better at posting more regularly.

Here is a card that I CASED from Mary Fish, with a few changes because I was being lazy when I was working on it. Anyways, the sentiment is from Delightful Dozen (it happened to be in my table from another project). The other set used was Bordering Romance. The colors are So Saffron, Basic Gray, and Whisper White. I used the new Doilie die cut and layered in on the large scalloped circle.

Wedding Thank You's

So remember way back in May or June when I created my wedding announcements using MDS so I could make matching Thank You cards? Well, they are finally mailed out! Better late than never, right? I actually had the inside written out for all of them in mid-October, but didn't get around to finishing the front until last week. The only stamping was the sentiment from Thank You Kindly. The colors are Basic Gray, Regal Rose, Elegant Eggplant, Marina Mist, and Whisper White.

Treat Holder

Yes, I'm still alive, just been very busy. Anyways, here is one of the treat holders that I created using the milk carton die. I needed a bigger container to hold what I created, so I made an eight sided container. The top was a little tricky with the extra sides, so I created a topper using a punched circle and a scrunched up flowers. I did make another with a stack of buttons too. The paper is Cherry Cobbler and Early Expresso.

And what did I put inside it? Nothing other than chocolate! I made a holly leave with melted Dove Chocolate, using a base of dark chocolate and then peppermint candies crushed and mixed with white chocolate.

As I indicated yesterday my craft show season is starting today. Here are a couple of the items I will have for sale. I am a Chocolatier for Dove Chocolate Discoveries, so I'm concentrating on that and finished products made with Stampin' Up! supplies. Anyways, first here is a peanut butter cup holder that I created using the Little Bitty Box Die. The Halloween one used Batty For You and the colors are Basic Black and Cajun Craze. The two Christmas ones use Delightful Decorations and the colors of the first one are Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. The third one used Real Red and Lucky Limeade (and were my inspiration for yesterday's share).

Also, here are few of the licorice bags that I created using Spooky Bingo Bigs and the skinny cello bags. The colors are Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Whisper White.

Good afternoon, today's share is not a card, but an Advent Calendar. I followed the FREE tutorial here. Thanks so much Brenda! Anyways, the only stamping was done with 25 & Counting. I just love how this turned out.

I used many different colors, all Stampin' Up!. So my next questions for you guys are what kinds of different candy can I put in it. Each box is about a cubic inch. I have Hersey Kisses and Starbursts so far. Finally, I will be selling this a my craft fairs this season, but for how much?

Reverse Kissing Share

Here is a card that I created using what I call the reverse kissing technique. I first inked up the Fine Flourish stamp in Daffodil Delight and then inked the butterfly from Flight of a Butterfly in Pacific Point and first stamped the butterfly on the Fine Flourish stamp and then stamped the Fine Flourish onto Whisper White. The other colors are I used were Basic Black and Island Indigo. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

The last day of September, wow! It's Friday also, so that means it's a Sketch Frenzy Friday. First, here is the sketch.

I have to admit I had a hard time with this sketch for several different reasons. First, I don't do very many horizontal cards, second I don't use tags on my cards. Once I got over the fact that I didn't have to do either, nothing still wasn't coming to me. While sitting at my craft table (aka dinning room table), I spotted a swap I received from Sandi MacIver and noticed that I could make it work. So I came up with the feeble attempt of CASEing Sandi. I almost didn't post it because I'm still not really liking it. The stamp sets used are Fabulous Florets, Wonderfully Worn, and Friendly Phrases. The colors are Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.

Okay, now that I'm back to blogging I will begin to share all the swaps that I made for Convention way back in July. This one I made for a "In With the New" swap, so the stamp set had to be a new stamp set from the IBC that was introduced on July 1st. I participated in two groups and this is the one of the cards that I swapped. The stamp set is Creative Elements and the colors are Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush, and Whisper White.

I have another card to share with you today. It's the reject to the above card. I was looking at it and I think I like it more than the one I swapped with, oh well. Same stamp set and colors. I think I'm going to have to make more of these to sell at the local boutique that sells my cards.

My poor neglected blog and plea for help

Hi everyone, I hope you're still out there in cyber land. I haven't forgotten you, life has just gotten in the way. First it was preparing swaps for convention, I did 622 in total, then convention, and now I'm in Virginia waiting for TC to leave for his third deployment, second one to Afghanaistan. I have done some stamping and I still owe you convention swaps. Those will come next month when I'm back home.

In the meantime, I have a request from you - I WANT TO GO TO LEADERSHIP!! TC has agreed to let me go and pay for the trip under two conditions, one is the I need to meet the minumum requirements and this is where you come in. I need two more recruits and then sales. The other is a personal goal, that I may share with you later. So anyways, in the next coming months you will see more business things on my blog, including buys, classes, kits, and tutorials. The other requirement is recruits. Right now through the end of July, Stampin' Up! has a recruiting special and it's only $99 to sign up! PLUS, if you sign up under me, I will include a few extra goodies for the first person that goes to my website(tinataves.stampinup.net) and joins my team. Can you believe it's July?! And the year is almost half over already?! I can't. It just seems like yesterday that TC came home and we got married and now he's getting ready to leave again as I get ready to leave for convention. That being said, I've been a bad blogger and my blog has been very neglected the past couple weeks. But in return for your patience, you will hopefully have great blog viewing pleasure while I'm at convention, perusing all my swap shares.

Anyways, it's Friday so that means Sketch Frenzy Friday and I have a share! I was playing around all day with one of my swaps that I couldn't get together, so I decided to take a break and see what this week's sketch was, here it is.

I then played around with some of the elements from the swap that was getting the better of me and came up with this creation. And I now think it's going to be my swap (well not exactly, but I'm saving that for the week I'm at convention). Howdy stampers! Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. I'm knee deep in convention swaps, which I will be sharing with you while I'm at convention. I am trying to continue to create something new everyday to share here too, but sometimes it's just too much. Anyways, it's Wednesday so that means it's the Diva Coffee Break Challenge. And this week it's a sketch challenge.

I really struggled with this one. I finally came up with something, but I do have to admit it's not my favorite. I couldn't justify spending any more time on it though with the hundreds and hundreds of swaps I still have to create. The colors are Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Regal Rose and Whisper White. I did use some DSP, Nursery Suite, but you can't see much of it. The stamps is from Define Your Life.

It just so happens that I was also able to incorporation my Operation: Depleting DSP too. For this creation I used the DSP sampler from the Level 1 Hostess (which I also have way too much of). The stamp set is Best Dad Ever.

Operation: Depleting DSP - Day 1

Yesterday I went through all the DSP that I have that is retiring and I have a stack of about three inches of DSP that will retire at the end of this month. This does not include the Hostess 1 paper pack, or any of the DSP that retired with the minis. So my new mission is to use as much as possible before it retires. Today's feature DSP is Sweet & Sour. The stamp set is Happy Greetings and the colors are Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, and Old Olive.

This is actually take four on this card and I think this is the one I like best. Tomorrow will be another card featuring Sweet & Sour. Thanks for stopping by!

This is a CASE of a card that I received in a swap. I really liked the card, but the DSP is retiring, so I decided to make it with some of the new sneak peak DSP. The stamp set is Bring On the Cake (which is coming back to the new catalog). The colors are Wisteria Wonder, Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant, and Whisper White. The layout is very similar to yesterday's DCBC sketch, which I thought was pretty ironic, since I don't think they had anything to do with each other.

And here is my creation. I used something new and something old for the stamp sets. The new is Flower Fest and the old is Occasional Quotes. I also used the new border punch from the new catalog. The colors are Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade (a new in-color), and Whisper White.

Summer Mini Hostess

Here is a card that I made for a swap for the Summer Mini catalog. My stamp set was the hostess level two set: Love & Caring. The colors I used are Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Tango Tangerine, Early Expresso, and Whisper White. It was definitely an inspired by, if not CASEd, creation.

Sneak Peaks

Okay, I couldn't resist. I'm now in Disney, but before the day before I left, I was supposed to be cleaning, packing, and getting ready for my trip to Disney World the next day, but my new stuff was just sitting there all lonely. I couldn't leave it in that state for a week, so the stamps just had to see ink, the paper had to be cut, punches punched, die cuts cut and you get the point. Anyways, so here is my CASE of the Stampin' Success Cover. I used lots of sneak peak stuff, including new stamp sets, DSP, punch, and colors. The stamp sets are My Friend and Delicate Doilies. The new punch is the border punch, the DSP is called Flirtatious, and the new in-color is Wisteria Wonder (my favorite right now). The colors are Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder, Pretty in Pink, and Whisper white.

And here is a slightly different version of the same card. Same colors and one stamp set, but this time the sentiment is from Hodgepode Happiness (a set that is retiring at the end of this month). I also used the new die cut for the scalloped circle layer.

Okay, here is a new one for me. I'm sharing something that I created on MDS. It's our wedding announcements. As you probably know, we eloped in New Orleans, just the two of us, so are going to be sending these out to let everyone know. Also, we've recently moved, so I included our new address too. This is the first time that I've really created something from scratch in MDS and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Before you get to excited though, the design was CASEd from one of those photo printing places that premake these sorts of things. I was going to just use that one, but I wanted to be able to match the colors for Thank You notes (should we receive any gifts), so I decided to use MDS. It's a sickness, I tell you, having to match everything. The colors are Marina Mist, Regal Rose, Basic Grey, and Elegant Eggplant.

The background is obviously white and I guess when I convert it to PDF, it doesn't draw the outline. Anyways, the size is 5 x 7.

It's the last of April (not May, as I said in yesterday's post) so that means it's the last day of the Occassions Mini. And here is my creation. Again, I used a stamp set from the main IBC, I guess that's this week's theme on my blog. They really do need to see more ink. Anyways, the stamp sets are Funky Four and Something to Celebrate. And it is a CASE until I realized that we don't have any Pacific Point buttons, so I had to substitute in a colored rosette. Yes, it really is Pacific Point even though it looks like a black blob.

Here is a card that I started a while ago, but didn't really know how to finish. I had the popsicles stamped and colored and left them. Well, yesterday while going through my piles of cards to CASE, I found a card from one of the display boards at the Minneapolis Regional, that I thought would be the key to finishing off this card. I used Sunny Fun and Thank You Kindly. The main colors are Peach Parfait, Early Expresso, Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point, and Whisper White. Several other colors were used to color in image in.

Strength & Hope Meets Wedding

Yesterday, while working on my card for Sketch Frenzy, I was trying to think of other ways I could use the stamp set. I mostly stamp to sell my cards in a little local boutique, and I wasn't sure how well this set would sell. Looking at the words in the script stamp, I noticed most of them would also be suitable for a wedding card, maybe not all. So how would I use the stamp without using the words I didn't feel suitable for a wedding card? Cut them off. That's one of the beauties of having clear mount stamps, you can cut things off or out and then easily piece them back together if you want to use the stamp as it was. Or take them apart to use the stamp to fit your needs. That is what I did here.

I used this stamp to CASE myself. This was the original card. And here is what I did. The sentiment is from Word Play. The colors are the same, Basic Black, Basic Grey, and Whisper White.
